There are few things quite as liberating as sailing the high seas with a group of friends, singing a few shanties and dancing a hearty jig. Maybe treasures and travel aren’t your thing; You might want the experience of being on board during a naval battle. in the Blackguard You become part of a fleet that competes in PvP with either pirates or the military, depending on which side you side with. Fire cannons and sink or board ships and knock down your enemies with good old steel and gunpowder. Take control of a ship with friends and let your captain guide you to fame and fortune.
This is a bit off the main theme of pirates, but a little imagination never hurt anyone. Stranded on a few planks in the middle of the ocean, you must gather resources from the surrounding water in order to build and survive. There might not be epic battles, but there is a modern treasure hunt with a metal detector, islands to explore and huge waves to ensure you get really seasick. Many hands make easy work and with enough friends you live the good life on the high seas.
Tempest: Pirate Action RPG
If you’re still finding your sea legs and don’t feel confident enough to jump into PvP but still want to focus more on ship combat, then set sail Tempest: Pirate Action RPG. Play in co-op mode with up to three players and plunder merchant ships, fight other pirates and face a mysterious cult. You’ll also have to contend with sea creatures like the leviathan, but luckily you can eventually summon your own big octopus friend to come to your rescue.
The world is your oyster in this procedurally generated co-op game. windward is a sandpit with real sand, well, virtual sand. Spend your time exploring, trading with different cities, completing quests and of course fighting other ships. Enemies will try to snatch you from the accumulated riches, but send enough of their ships to rest on the seabed and you’ll earn their fear and respect. Build the cities to unlock more quests and ship upgrades and build your own Man-o-War.
