Space Mountain is the latest Disney ride to get a board game makeover in a brand new tabletop game called Space Mountain: All Systems Go.
A new Disneybranded board game is on the way and this time it is space mountain– themed. Disney recently started testing the waters with board games based on various attractions and films. Of a haunted mansion game to a Great Thunder Mountain game, the company’s entry into the tabletop world comes as no surprise to longtime Disney fans. Disney recently collaborated to create a Stupid movie meets Funko Disney board game and has also partnered with other brands in the past to create Disney versions of classic games.
While it’s nothing new for Disney to join the ranks of tabletop gaming, the recent resurgence of board games has made these games more popular than before. Disney’s more well-known efforts include the villain Games that have been around since 2018. Disney even released board games for rides for attractions like the Matterhorn and even one for Walt Disney World itself in the ’70s. At the recent D23 Expo, a major Disney news and announcement event, the company announced that it was launching a Disney Developed a trading card game that could potentially compete with Magic The Gathering called Magic The Gathering Disney Lorcana.
That space mountain game will be the latest addition to the ever-growing list of attraction-based games being produced by Disney (via GamesRadar). The game is called Space Mountain: All systems go and is a versus game in which two to four players must compete in a race for the player’s ship to visit all ports known as Starports. From the picture it is clear that the dice tower is shaped like the starting bay and the dice will roll through it similar to the driving vehicles. The player tokens are also in the shape of the Disneyland vehicles, which look more like a rocket ship. Space Mountain: All systems go is created and published by Ravensburger, a prolific board game developer known for its adaptation of other Disney attractions and of course the popular ones Disney villain villain Board games featured war of stars topics before.

The box art for Space Mountain: All systems go reveals more information about the gameplay. As with the drive, wormholes and asteroids appear as players try to stay on course and must maneuver to avoid these obstacles. They also seem to need to keep an eye on fuel levels while attempting to reach their destination. The dice that are rolled through the starting bay tell players which direction to go and how to move forward.
No date has been announced for fans to get their hands on it Space Mountain: All systems go, but that should be known in due course. There’s also no official pre-order date, but it’s possible the board game will be available online and in stores near the holidays. Die-hard Disney fans can enjoy other games, like Charming, while they wait Stardew Valley– like life simulation, Disney’s Dreamlight Valleyor one of the various Disney Attraction based board games.
